How to create an invite-only ticket?
We understand that sometimes you need to create an event that's not available for the general public to attend, and that's why we've made it easy to create an invite-only event with Tix.
Step 1: The first step to creating an invite-only event is to create an event the way you usually would.
Step 2: Next, select tickets in the event dashboard
Step 3: Click add a ticket
Step 4: Select invite-only as your ticket type (also select free if it's a free ticket or paid if it's a paid ticket).
Step 5: Next, name your ticket, e.g. RSVP and add a description, e.g. This ticket is for invited guests only.
Step 6: You may choose to include perks if your ticket includes them.
Step 7: If guests are paying a fee for this ticket, enter your ticket price.
Step 8: For invite-only tickets, you cannot alter the stock levels, as the number of available tickets is based on the number of invites you send out (which will be completed in the next step).
Step 9: Finally, if it is a paid ticket, you can decide whether to bear the transaction fees or transfer them to your guests.
Step 10: When you're good with everything, click save to complete the process.
Step 1: Before you can send out your invites, you will need to publish your event, so go ahead and publish your event by clicking the toggle button.
Step 2: Great! To send out your invites, click the ellipsis (three little dots) on the right-hand side of the container box for the invite-only ticket and select invite.
Step 3: A pop-up will appear for you to customise the email invite that your guests will receive.
Step 4: Complete the fields, including sender name and ‘reply to’ email address, recipients and subject.
Step 5: You can also send a test message to yourself to check how the email will look before you send it out to your attendees. To do so, enter the email address where you want to receive the test message and click send test. The test email will be sent to the specified email address right away.
Step 6: Once satisfied, input your recipients' emails and click send.
Step 1: Your guests will receive an email from you to register for your event.
Step 2: The URL in each guest's email will be unique to their email address, and they will not be able to edit it.
Step 3: Each invite can only be used once, multiple attempts will inform the user that their invitation has already been claimed.
