How to check in guests using the web scanner

Scanning barcodes and checking guests into your event is easy with the Tix web scanner.

Step 1: Visit the Web Check-In page - Go to scan.tix.africa on your browser.

Step 2: Enter your event staff log in. That is, the passcode you received from the account owner and log in.

Step 3: You can now begin checking in your attendees by either scanning the QR codes on their tickets.

You can also search your attendee list at any time using the name on the ticket or using the order ID.

Step 4: To scan, click Scan QR Code, then place the ticket’s QR code inside the frame after your camera opens. It will scan automatically.

Note: 

• To log in to your event staff account, you must first be added as an event staff by the event organizer.
• You cannot check in your guest with the Order Id, you can only search on the attendee list using the Order Id.
