Getting a Ticket

You can easily buy tickets on Tix in a few simple steps. If you have any questions, this article explains the most common questions we get about the process

How much is the ticket?

Tix is an online ticketing site, ticket prices vary per event and are set by the event organizer. You can find the ticket prices for any event listed on Tix at this link.

How do I buy tickets?

Tix is a self-service platform online ticketing site. You can buy tickets directly on our website at this link. If you can't find the event you're looking for, it's possible that tickets are not yet on sale or the ticket link is private. In such cases, please contact the event organizer for more information.

When are tickets on sale?

Unfortunately, we cannot predict when tickets for a particular event will be available for sale if they are not currently listed. However, you can contact the event organizer for more information on this.

Why are tickets sold out?

If tickets are sold out, this means all the available tickets for that event have already been purchased by other fans. If an event is sold out, we're really sorry there's not much else we can do. Tix is an online ticketing site, and we don't control the availability or pricing of tickets.

What payment methods are accepted?

We have multiple payment methods to buy tickets depending on the currency of the event.

Payments in Nigerian Naira
Card payments: You can use Mastercard, Visa, and Verve debit/credit cards.
Bank transfer: You can make a bank transfer from any Nigerian bank transfer. You cannot make a bank transfer from an international bank account even though the provider says they will pay out naira to the recipient.
USSD: Pay with USSD from supported banks (if your bank isn't on the list, it's not supported at this time).
Apple Pay: Use Apple Pay with supported cards (American Express cards not supported).
Chipper Cash: Direct payments from the Chipper Cash app

Payments in Ghanaian Cedis
Card payments: You can use Mastercard and Visa debit/credit cards.
Mobile Money: You can pay with Mobile Money from MTN, Airtel/Tigo, and Vodafone networks.
Apple Pay: You can use Apple Pay with supported cards (American Express cards not supported).

Payments in US Dollars (requires 3D Secure)
Card payments: Pay with Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express (Stripe only), Diners Club, and China UnionPay debit/credit cards.
Apple Pay: Use Apple Pay with supported cards.
Google Pay: Pay with Google Pay using supported cards.

Can I use an international card?

Absolutely! You can use an international card to make payments, even if it's not in the same currency as the event payment. Just ensure your card is set up for foreign currency transactions and belongs to one of the supported card brands listed in the previous section. If you're unsure, don't hesitate to reach out to your bank for more information. Keep in mind, your bank might apply a foreign currency transaction fee, and as for the exchange rate, that's determined by your bank, not by Tix.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes, you can use bank transfer for payments in Naira. There's no need to contact us for our bank details; the dedicated bank account for your transaction will be displayed on the checkout page.

Can I pay with Paypal?

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer support for Paypal payments. We're exploring options to make your experience even better, so stay tuned.

Can I pay with American Express?

For American Express payments, it depends on the currency of the event you're planning to attend. Check out the previous section to see if American Express is supported for that specific currency.

How to apply a discount code?

To use a discount code, at checkout select the discount code field and enter the discount code you were provided. Discount codes are case-sensitive and may have limited use. To receive assistance, we recommend contacting the event organizer as they are best equipped to assist you with discount codes, as we don’t have access to them.

Why is the checkout button disabled?

If the checkout buttons are disabled, it is likely that all the required fields for checkout have not been filled in. Please make sure to fill out all required fields and confirm policies before clicking the order or pay button. If any required fields are incomplete, the checkout buttons will be disabled.

How do I get my ticket after payment?

Your email inbox: We send your ticket to your inbox after please, search for an email from orders@tix.africa
The Tix mobile app: If you have a Tix account, log in to (or sign up for) the Tix app using the same email address. Select "Tickets" in the menu bar to display your tickets.

What if I don't have an email address?

You need an email address to receive your events tickets or to access them on the Tix app. You can create a free email address here.

What is included in a ticket?

After selecting a ticket type on an event page, you're able to see everything that has been included in a ticket. If you have more questions about what is included, please contact the event organizer for more information.

What is the event program?

If you need information about an event including the event's program, contact the event organizer using their details on the event's page.

What is the event seating plan?

If the seating plan is not displayed on the event page, please contact the event organizer using their details on the event's page.
