How to add bank details to your Tix account?

The first time you create an event with paid tickets, you will see the option below to add your bank details so that we know where to pay you.

On Desktop

Step 1: Click, add bank details to display the pop-up box shown below:

Step 2: Select your bank from the bank dropdown. Step 3: Enter your bank account number. Step 4: The account name will autocomplete in the field below. Step 5: Click save.

On Mobile

Step 1: Download the Tix app on your mobile. Step 2: Log in with your email address and password. Step 3: Click on the profile icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Step 4: Select payment details and fill in your details.

Step 5: Click save. Your bank details have been successfully changed.

Things to note:

You will receive an error message if your account name doesn't match your Tix name.
You can update your account name in your profile by clicking your name in the top right corner.
Organisation accounts can also provide their RC number in the field provided (which is your business registration number from the Corporate Affairs Commission

When will I get paid?

Your settlements will be paid into your bank account weekly on Friday at or around noon (West African Time).

Tix will include all sales made until noon (West African Time) the day before your payout in that week's settlement.

Our payment providers settle payments to us T + 24 hours. Consequently, Tix also imposes a cut-off time of noon for payments to be included in the next day’s payouts.

There are exceptions for Sundays and public holidays where payouts are only made on the next work day.

How do ticket fees work?

Tix is free to use for free events. We only charge a small amount for paid events for payment processing and for value-added features that benefit event organisers.

We charge you nothing to create a free event on tix free. However, if you’re charging your guests a fee, we take a fee depending on the currency of your event.

Naira - 5% + NGN 100 per paid ticket
Cedis - 7.5% + GHS 5 per paid ticket
US Dollars - 7% + 50 cents per paid ticket
Rand - 5% + R5 per paid ticket

Additionally, a bank transfer fee is charged on each ticket sales payout and it also varies per currency. It is only charged once for each batch payment.

Naira

If the payout amount is NGN 5,000 or lower, the fee is NGN 10.
If the payout amount is between NGN 5,001 and N49,999, the fee is NGN 25.
If the payout amount is N50,000 or higher, the fee is NGN 50.

Cedis The fee is GHS 10 flat.

US Dollars The fee is $45 + 0.5% flat.

Rand The fee is R3 flat.

How to manage ticket types?

After you've created an event or even published it, you can still make changes to your ticket types.

You can edit, delete or hide ticket type.

To edit/delete a ticket

Step 1: In your event dashboard, select the event you would like to edit.

Step 2: Next, click tickets.

Step 3: Click the ellipsis (three little dots) on the right-hand side of the ticket you want to edit.

Step 4: This will show a drop-down menu of options to edit, duplicate, hide or delete the ticket.

Things to note:

Deleting a ticket is irreversible.
You cannot delete a ticket type once orders have been made for it. If you no longer want a ticket to be visible but there are already orders for it, you can hide the ticket instead.
You cannot change the price for a ticket that has orders. To adjust the price, you can hide the ticket instead and create a new ticket at the new price.

To hide a ticket

Step 1: In your event dashboard, select the event you would like to edit.

Step 2: Next, click tickets.

Step 3: Click the ellipsis (three little dots) on the right-hand side of the ticket you want to hide and select hide.

Find Your Ticket

How do I find my ticket?

Your email inbox: Look for an email from orders@tix.africa.
The Tix mobile app: If you have a Tix account, log in (or sign up) on our mobile app using the same email address. Click "Tickets" in the menu to view your tickets.

Why didn't I get my ticket?

Your confirmation email with the ticket purchased may be missing for one of these reasons:

Incorrect email address: There might be a typo in your email address. o worries, we can fix this! Please reach out to Tix support via live chat (the round orange button on the bottom right).
Spam: Sometimes the confirmation email ends up in your spam or promotions folder.
Email deliverability: In some cases, server configurations might block our emails from reaching your inbox. We can help you update your details. Just contact Tix support via live chat (the round orange button on the bottom right).
